About the Role: As an Estimator, you will support the Managing & Senior Estimators in developing estimates for multi-disciplined Highways Projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing customer drawings and specifications to prepare accurate costing sheets for materials, labour, and equipment.
  • Overseeing design options and identifying value solutions.
  • Recording assumptions, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting risk evaluation.
  • Liaising with project team members and the supply chain to understand methodologies and principles proposed.
You will also take the lead on small to medium-sized bids, ensuring tender deliverables are produced effectively and on time. This includes:

  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Reviewing tender documents and submission requirements.
  • Establishing and agreeing key rates.
  • Detailed analysis of subcontractors’ proposals.
Who We’re Looking For:

  • An individual with an infrastructure main contractor background and experience in estimating roles.
  • A candidate with good financial acumen and proficiency in IT applications like Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Candy Estimating Software is desirable but not essential.
  • Working towards or holding a relevant industry chartership (e.g., ICE, CICES, RICS, CIOB) is advantageous.
