Phlebotomy New patient registration checks Routine BP 24 hour BP Spirometry ECG Doppler (assisting practice nurse) Weight checks (patients on weight reducing diets only) Urinalysis Simple dressings Nail clippings Hearing tests Verruca treatment (follow up once already initiated by nurse) Involvement in research studies as required

Administrative and Housekeeping Duties

Maintain accurate patient records and results books Prepare samples for collection Stock ordering to include blood bottles, gloves, dressings and other prep and treatment room supplies Ensure all consulting and treatment rooms are kept adequately stocked (specimen containers, path lab forms, prescription and A4 paper, etc) Prepare and download 24hour BP and ECG data Maintain a clean and tidy prep room Assist in collection and appropriate disposal of clinical waste
