Job summary

Channel Health Alliance, a GP federation providing NHS services, is seeking to recruit an administrator to support the administration and senior management teams.

As part of the administrative team, you will provide outstanding support and skills and good working relationships withcolleagues and senior managers. You will be an effective communicatorwith an excellent knowledge of IT systems and have the ability to prioritiseyour workload, ensuring that work is completed in a professional, safe andtimely manner. Have proven customer care skills and theability to be flexible and move between the company's sites andservices.

Main duties of the job

Supporting with the general daily running of the admin office

Managing the service clinical roster system and session filling

To ensure the company's services are fully staffed, using When I Work (Rota) and EMIS

Contacting our Locum GPs to discuss availability if required

Contacting our Staffing Agencies to provide cover where GPs / ANPs are unable to work

Taking part in the On call roster

Finance team support

Consumables and equipment ordering

Supporting the service leads with medicines management

Supporting the Quality Team

Supporting the Patient and Staff Engagement development

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Toensure the UTC/PCN and company services are fully manned, using When I Work(Rota) and Emis. When and where necessary

Contactingour Locum GPs to discuss availability if required

Contactingour Staffing Agencies to provide cover where GPs / ANPs unable to work whenrequired

ContactingOn Call GPs when staff unable to attend if required

Dealingand supporting leads at the Sites if required

As a member of the admin team you may beasked to support some of the following areas:

Finance team support

Consumables and equipment ordering

Managing the service clinical roster system and sessionfilling

Supporting the Patient and Staff Engagement development

Offergeneral assistance to the company administration team, outside of this job description,and project a positive and friendlyimage to practices, patients and professionals, either in person or via thetelephone

Undertakea variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of theoffice

Facilitateeffective communication between practices, members the public, secondary careand other associated healthcare agencies

To support a range of administrativeprograms of work including projects.

To provide support to service users and providers.

Support the monitoring of various program of work together with the seniormanagement team

Be proactive and able to work using your initiative and onoccasion be comfortable working by yourself in the office.

Visiting our units at RVH, Deal Hospital and BucklandHospital to ensure our staff there have supplies. Deliveries to site of stock and carrying outinductions for new members of staff.

Will work closely and assist our service managers toensure that she is aware of any developments or possible issues withstaffing.

To participateinthe Companys On Call Rota- One week in every 4. Weekly rate ofpayment plus expenses is provided.

Please be aware that we are not aSurgery and our work is not applicable to a surgery environment.

Qualifications

Essential

GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths

Experience

Essential

Experience in an administrative role High level of keyboard/IT skills Experience of all MS packages Experience working in a service focused environment, providing professional support within a busy environment Experience of working in a team

Desirable

Experience of working in the NHS/public body or private Experience in using EMIS Web an advantage and When I Work or similar is desirable, however, full training will be provided. Experience of Rota Management, however, full training will be provided.
