Senior Intake Auditor

The role
The Senior intake Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that Boohoo Group products meet defined quality standards set by Product Technology/ Product Safety & Compliance to ensure that products held out for sale are safe, fit for purpose and legally compliant in the markets in which we retail.
This role involves managing the inspection processes at inbound delivery, conducting inspections and audits and supporting the DC Product Manager on a day to day basis, deputising as required.

What you'll be doing
- Lead and guide intake auditors providing training, direction, and support to ensure consistent and accurate evaluations.
- Conduct post shipment inspections, and targeted audits generated by returns analysis and customer complaints, of materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards, to verify product quality
- Identify and document defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from quality standards with clear and concise descriptions.
- Record inspection results accurately and promptly in designated systems or forms, generating detailed reports for communication.
- Ensure products adhere to industry regulations, standards, and safety guidelines, staying updated on relevant requirements.
- Analyse quality data and trends to drive informed decision-making, generate detailed reports, and suggest corrective actions to management
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including production, design, and sourcing to address quality concerns and provide feedback.
- Assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
- Participate in training programs to improve inspection skills, stay updated on quality control practices, and support professional development.

About you
- Proven experience in quality control within the fashion industry, with a track record of managing and leading quality control teams.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in quality control tools, techniques, and methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to drive process improvements.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to product quality and safety.
