Head of Sheq

We are currently looking for a Head of SHEQ who will lead the SHEQ department, managing Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Assurance across the business.
You will be responsible for driving the business on H&S policy, practice and improvement, raising awareness and promoting best practice.
You will also ensure the quality system and standards are maintained, monitor product conformance to specifications and ensure accreditation is maintained.
**Main duties (but not limited to)**
- To provide health and safety expertise to all areas, ensuring that all operational activities comply with current health, safety and environmental legislation, ensuring all HSE policies and procedures are followed and regularly reviewed.
- To influence and promote a positive H&S culture throughout the organisation, supporting managers in implementing departmental activities with their teams.
- Develop business SHEQ strategies and annual objectives, then report on these KPI’s regularly.
- To engage with key stakeholders internally and externally such as HSE, auditors, environmental agency, Group SHEQ members, senior managers and the Board of Directors.
- Carry out audits on SHEQ processes and procedures, report findings, promoting business improvements and leading change across the teams.
**About you**
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Chartered safety professional CMIOSH.
- SHEQ experience in Manufacturing or similar industry at a management level.
- Knowledge of legal/working requirements of UK H&S at Work.
- Auditing skills.
- Enthusiastic with a hunger and passion to drive a positive Health and Safety culture.
