Teaching Personnel is currently partnering with schools in the Scunthorpe area to offer support staff roles for Psychology graduates. This presents a unique opportunity for individuals to apply their academic knowledge in a practical school environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Effective Communication: Engage with both staff and students, closely monitoring student progress.
- Behavior Management: Maintain composure in managing challenging situations, contributing to a deeper understanding of social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Future Career Development: Use these roles as a stepping stone for a future career in teaching or working with children, focusing on well-being and individual learning requirements.
- Proactive Approach: Serve as a positive role model with a confident and proactive approach.
- Adaptability: Transfer academic skills and theoretical knowledge to a practical school environment.
- 1:1 Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to students who need additional support.
- Classroom Engagement: Actively contribute to classroom activities and support during lessons.
- Patience and Understanding: Show patience and understanding towards the unique needs of students.
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- DBS Clearance: Possess Child DBS on the update service. (or the abilityto apply for one)
- References: Provide two professional and academic references.
- Interview Process: Attend an interview.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
