Our team in North East Lincolnshire - Scunthorpe are recruiting for an experienced CBT Therapist, to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. Main duties of the job

This is a new and exciting role within the Adult Drug and Alcohol Service based in Scunthorpe. We are looking for someone with a passion for our client group who can enhance the support that we already offer. You will be working directly with clients as well as networking with other mental health providers, developing and maintaining effective pathways.

We work together as a team to improve access to mental health support for everyone. This is a role for a qualified practitioner who is looking to grow their individual clinical development within a supportive environment. Please note that working hours for this role will be Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. This is a full time, Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2025. Benefits

Qualifications

Essential

Have successfully completed a CBT Post Graduate Diploma OR Equivalent: A recorded/registered doctoral level qualification in clinical or counselling psychology; a recorded/registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or within a psychological therapy - plus further postgraduate qualification training in CBT Have accreditation with BABCP (or working towards BABCP accreditation within the next 6 months) Should you be successful in your application, you will be required to provide 3 years' worth of references and where applicable, will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check

Experience

Essential

To successfully carry out this role you will: Have demonstrable experience of working as a psychological therapy practitioner Have demonstrable experience of working in mental health services Understand and have knowledge of medication used in anxiety and depression and other mental health problems Be able to establish and maintain empathetic, supportive relationships with people in significant distress or who are cognitively impaired, their families and carers Be able to receive, understand and communicate confidential client information of a sensitive and often complex nature Be able to make good use of clinical supervision in a group and/or individual format Be able to undertake any duties related to the role including physical interventions for the management of violence and aggression Be able to work flexibly and adapt to each person as appropriate to their needs in a variety of settings Be able to use basic computer skills to collect, collate and report on a client's progress on a daily basis
