East Bank Medical Centre are looking for a new, enthusiastic nurse to extend our team. We are a friendly, supportive and motivated team who serve a highly deprived population in Sheffield. The nurses play a fundamental role in the practice, providing skills and expertise valued by the team and community.
The practice works in a large purpose built medical centre with a supportive staff team who are patient centred and progressive in the way that they affect the local community.
Salary will be dependent upon experience, competence and qualifications.

Main duties of the job
Managing and implementing Immunisations and Vaccination programmes for adults and children including Travel Vaccinations, Baby/Childhood Immunisations, Influenza programme Routine procedures including ear syringing, treating wounds and applying or removing dressings Sexual Health - supporting and advising women on family planning needs Cervical Cytology Health Planning Implementing and evaluating treatment health plans for long term condition patients. Chronic Disease Management particularly in respiratory disease Taking blood and urine samples along with other swabs and specimens Some previous Practice Nurse experience is essential for this role
About us
East Bank Medical Centre is a purpose built medical centre and we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to work alongside our current Practice Nurse Team. We are a friendly, busy practice with a list size of just over are a high QOF achievement practice with a Good CQC rating. The centre has been managed by the same team for many years and is forward thinking and involved in the local community and network of surrounding practices. We are a training practice for GP's and we are also involved in the mentoring of student doctors. We have taken part in the development of newly qualified nurses who want to progress into Practice Nursing in the past
The successful candidate will work alongside our existing nursing team consisting of a Nurse Partner; 2 x Part Time Practice Nurse and 2 HCAs to provide excellent patient care.

Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate programmes to promote health and well-being, and prevent adverse effects on health and well-being. Implement and evaluate individual treatment plans for patients with a known long-term condition.
