Fixed term 12-month Contract

Working Part time : 24.5 hours per week 

We have a 12-month fixed term Band 6 Neuro Physiotherapist vacancy available to cover maternity leave, working at 24.5 hours per week across 3 days. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Physiotherapy to join the Neurotherapy team at the Countess of Chester Hospital. The Neurotherapy team is an intergrated team, covering the 16 bedded acute stroke unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital, the 17-bedded rehab stroke unit at Ellesmere Port and the community rehab service, which provides rehab for both stroke patients and patients with other neurological conditions. Depending on the experience of the successful candidate, this temporary post will either be in the community service or on the rehab stroke unit, both based at Ellesmere Port Hospital. 

There is excellent Band 7 peer support across all areas of the service and the opportunity to develop existing skills.

The assessment and treatment of patients with complex Neurological conditions, including stroke and long-term neurological conditionsThe supervision and education of more junior staffWork as part of an MDT managing a caseload of patients Be responsible for the input of patients notes on both EMIS and Cerner systemsContribute to service developmentBe responsible for own learning and seek opportunities to develop knowledge and skillsParticipate in IST programme to develop own and other's skillsParticipate in Stroke rota, working 8.30 - 12.30 on a Saturday morning on the acute stroke unit.Be HCPC registered and a Chartered Physiotherapist
