How you’ll play your part
We’re looking for someone highly-motivated and confident, who has management accounting experience and has proven ability to provide commercial financial analysis and present findings confidently to management. In this role, you will be supporting the Management Team with all reporting, planning, and accounting requirements related to Used Cars. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and accuracy of our operations.
You will have to have a meticulous approach, with an eye for accuracy in all tasks as you’ll lead the month-end close process for Used Car, managing, calculating, and validating inputs to ensure high data quality within appropriate timescales. You will take charge of providing management accounts, including commentary and analysis of variances to plan and forecast, and manage any auditor queries as required.
Your responsibilities will include the monthly preparation of the trading result for Used Car, detailing revenue by channel, special discounts, and direct costs. You will review and track all items affecting net revenue, volume, and mix against forecast, plan, and previous actuals, applying your findings to subsequent plans and forecasts. You will possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational abilities, essential for cross-functional collaboration as you will provide monthly business reporting and ad hoc financial evaluations/appraisals of business proposals in terms of process and contribution.
You’ll will manage, oversee, and complete all stock control processes, including exception reporting, VID mappings, record updates, and the quarterly stock reconciliation.
You will spearhead the planning processes for Used Car, ensuring high data quality and providing variance analysis and commentary versus previous plans/actuals. Demonstrated expertise in conducting in-depth commercial financial analysis and delivering clear, persuasive presentations of findings to senior management with confidence and credibility is needed.
