An exciting opportunity has opened up We are expanding our Finance Team
**What is the main purpose of the role?**
To effectively handle all aspects of the accounts including sales and purchase ledger, to achieve business targets, whilst adhering to departmental deadlines.
**Key Responsibilities and Duties**
**1. **Daily reconciliation of all payments received at the Reception, F&B outlets, C&B department, and SPA, including cash and credit card transactions.
**2. **Ordering, receiving and re-banking change for site; performing float checks in accordance with hotels financial procedures.
**3. **Posting of all BACS payments received in a timely manner.
**4. **Daily revenue audit, ensuring that all revenue streams have been posted accurately and to correct analysis codes, variance analysis reporting.
**5. **Responsible for posting Purchase Ledger Invoices into the accounting system or on Procurement system.
**6. **Investigating variances between the delivered and invoiced amounts, liaising with departmental heads and suppliers.
**7. **Updating the A&P sheet with relevant overhead purchases timely.
**8. **Reconciling suppliers’ statements to the accounting system entries and dealing with variances promptly.
**9. **Effectively communicating revenue or purchasing related queries with other hotel departments.
**11. **Reviewing all sales ledger entries daily, ensuring accuracy of sales invoices sent to clients.
**12. **Credit control of sales ledger invoices to ensure outstanding debt is collected promptly.
**13. **Sales ledger queries handled within a reasonable time frame as agreed with clients.
**14. **Assisting with production of daily controls file, including the sales adjustments in all departments, refunds, voids, discounts, and other exception transactions
**15. **Reporting on the reasons and supporting Financial Controller in improving the processes within the departments, to ensure that the hotels control objectives are met.
**16. **Assisting Financial Controller with other areas of business, including preparation of stock data and any other general duties.
**System Knowledge**
- Intermediate level of MS Office packages, strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of hotels PMS systems is desirable, but not essential.
- Knowledge of Sage and Procure Wizard is desirable.

**Learning and Development**

**Health & Safety**
- To ensure that the Company Health & Safety procedures are adhered to and implemented within the department
- To be aware of all legislation that is relevant to your work and ensure that all legal requirements are met including: licensing, health & safety at work, COSHH, environmental health, fire precautions, manual handling and any other relevant policies.

**Salary**: From £23,356.00 per year
