Senior Delivery Manager (Water Industry)


We are searching for an experienced Senior Delivery Manager (Water Industry) at our Kirkintilloch facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:  

RPS has an exciting opportunity for a  Senior Delivery Manager  to join our Water Consulting business. This is a senior-level position and will deliver and build upon our existing frameworks and relationships with utility companies across Scotland. 

Your responsibilities will primarily focus on the direct line management of our delivery teams across our Trunks Mains Conditioning (TMC) business stream, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, training is kept up to date and investigation are carried out to a high standard. As well as overseeing the day-to-day operations, the Senior Delivery Manager will support, develop, and manage the strategic growth of the business stream.

About The Team:

RPS Water Consulting is a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development, to our Water Industry clients to support business planning and delivery. This is an evolving industry, providing challenges and opportunities that require innovation, dedication, and teamwork to help us meet our clients’ needs.

Your Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of all aspects of conditioning the trunks mains network for our clients. Lead the delivery of our TMC growth plan. Support the Operations Manager in the strategies developed around discoloration management reports. Lead the health, safety, and well-being of our field-based teams. Safety, ethics, integrity, and the environment – always embraces and upholds RPS's high professional standards, and advocacy - an ambassador for our wider business at all times. Deliver a high level of customer service to our external and internal customers.

About You:

Water industry experience – knowledge of the working practices in particular managing work in trunks mains conditioning. Extensive knowledge of the following: Network hydraulics Pressure and flows Water quality discoloration Flushing Team leadership - experience of successfully leading integrated/blended/diverse/multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex project outputs and programme outcomes. Communication – high emotional intelligence - listens and questions effectively, concise verbal and written communication skills. Strive to exceed client aspiration and are goal driven. You will have extensive experience in the leadership and management of field-based teams, ideally gained in the utility service industry or similar and will have the ability to deliver results in an often unpredictable, operational environment. You will have proven experience managing performance and able to implement change. Proficient in the use of the MS office suite, work management systems and applications are essential.  Demonstrable track record of reliability and flexibility

Qualifications:

A degree qualified in a relevant subject is desirable although significant previous experience will be considered. IOSH managing safely. A full UK driving license is also essential.
