Group Health and Safety Manager

Are you an experienced NEBOSH qualified Health and Safety Manager looking to join an expanding group? Would you like to help drive health and safety for an award-winning business?

A leading national business within the construction and electrical sector are recruiting for a Group Health and Safety Manager to join the team and play a critical role in developing and maintaining a safe work environment for all employees. What are the day-to-day responsibilities of the role:

  • Reviewing key areas of H&S risks for the company and implementing processes to reduce these risks
  • Leading the health and safety team to achieve a positive health and safety culture.
  • Gaining ‘buy in’ from key decision-makers
  • Implement best practice and drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Ownership of all of the company’s H&S documentation and H&S training materials
  • Provide reports to the board of directors as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate – minimum
  • Working towards Chartership
  • People management skills and ability to coach and develop other H&S professionals
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience within construction/M& E or electrical installation is preferred
  • Ability to manage key stakeholders
  • A self-driven and results-oriented attitude
