Position Overview:

We are seeking a self-motivated and driven individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager. In this role, you will develop new business opportunities, focusing particularly on larger project development through strong relationship building, product expertise, and industry knowledge in Temperature Control.

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Drive order-winning activities through customer site visits and business development calls.
  • Achieve hire orders and other KPI targets within commercial areas of responsibility.
  • Service key accounts to maximise order potential and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain awareness of potential hire opportunities within your commercial areas.
  • Present quotations and drawings aligned with customer requirements.
  • Define order requirements and ensure quality information is provided to the Service and/or Projects team.
  • Implement structured business development initiatives to heighten local awareness and maximise conversion of direct enquiries.
  • Ensure customer contact post-hire to guarantee satisfaction and leverage referral opportunities.
  • Promote the full range of Dawsongroup services to add value at every opportunity.
  • Ensure the SID database reflects current activities, opportunities, contacts, and competitors’ equipment status.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing customers to understand their business changes and future plans, ensuring they are satisfied and aware of DGTCS and Dawsongroup products.
  • Stay informed of new ideas, opportunities, and trends to ensure our offerings remain relevant and we maintain our market leadership.
  • Monitor competitive activity and performance, ensuring DGTCS remains the preferred choice.

Key Skills and Attributes (essential/desirable)

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience of developing and delivering new business revenue in any of the following sectors: Refrigeration, HVAC, Temperature Control Solutions
