We are looking for a IT Support Technician who will be responsible for providing technical support for a full range of business technology; including computer systems (hardware and software); network infrastructure; ePOS; mobile devices; telephone systems and audio-visual equipment for The Wave group and external customers. This role is based at The Wave, Easter Compton, and the successful candidate will be required to work / be on call 1 weekend in 4 with additional weekends required during School Summer Holidays.

What you will do: 

  • Liaising with 3rd party system suppliers to ensure we have the support and resource we need from them.
  • 1st/2nd line support for internal users for hardware and software issues.
  • Responding to end user queries and escalating to team members or 3rd parties when required
  • Perform software installations and updates
  • Solid Network troubleshooting and Installation
  • Perform hardware maintenance (builds, upgrades and repairs)
  • Providing 1st line support on all IT and systems issues across the Wave team.
  • Internal management systems including ePOS, ticketing and websites
  • Asset management / audit issuing of IT kit
  • Maintenance and support of the software system integrations
  • Documentation of systems implementations and integrations, including usernames, passwords and training materials

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • A strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (including Office 365, Teams and SharePoint Administration)
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Good organisational skills, tidiness and attention to detail
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, particularly on project-based elements of the role.
  • The ability to train people on systems processes and procedures.
  • Experience in a customer facing environment

Required knowledge/experience: 

  • Active Directory, Group Policies and associated tools and services
  • Windows 10/11 Professional and Windows Domains
  • Understanding networking LAN and WAN technologies, including VLANs, routing and usual networking tools
  • Enterprise WiFi systems
  • Understanding and experience with network and infrastructure security
  • IT Support Ticketing(Zendesk)
  • Background in IT support
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role

Desirable knowledge/experience: 

  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • MacOS Support
  • Background in Hospitality sector or similar particularly ePos Systems
