Maintenance Assistant

The Wave, Bristol, are recruiting a Maintenance Assistant to be part of our team, ensure the smooth running of our wave generating technology and the wider Wave facilities. This is a full-time, permanent role.

**About the role**

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will carry out routine maintenance and repair all equipment around site. Working with the Maintenance Technicians to complete onsite repairs and ensuring all issues on site are made safe and dealt with in a timely manner.

In addition to this, you will be expected to help out in a wide range of tasks including pool plant maintenance, ground maintenance and site cleanliness as well as maintaining the grounds accordingly.

**What you will be up to**
- Completing routine and planned maintenance and calibration testing of the Wavegarden equipment
- Point of contact for maintenance issues on site
- Maintaining and running the water treatment facility
- Carrying out daily, weekly, monthly and annual inspections across the site to identify and prioritise works to fixed and loose assets.
- Following of proactive and reactive maintenance across the site.
- Maintaining of The Wave grounds (gardening, recycling and cleaning of surf lake).
- Conducting risk assessments for all work activities and able to identify possible hazards on or around site.
- Maintaining accurate and timely records of maintenance operations using our computer maintenance management software system (Emaint).
- Working to the highest levels of safety across the department and site and assisting in the creation of a culture of safety.
- Responding to the maintenance managers requests and deal with site issues in a timely manner.
