This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Leamington Spa, Warwickshire where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.
Reporting to the Head of Test Operations, you will be responsible managing &
coordinating the daily operations of the workshop team and facility (MIRA).This role will work closely with the Vehicle Development Team and the Engineering Teams to ensure all vehicle preparation requests are satisfied and the facility runs smoothly and efficiently.
What you will do:
- Support the specification & commissioning of the facility & equipment, and assist in defining the operational strategy & work processes.
- Manage and co-ordinate the daily operations of the workshop - from personnel and budgets to equipment maintenance and Health & Safety. Making key operation decisions and improving workflow efficiency.
- ·Ensuring that the workshop runs smoothly and efficiently, while also maintaining high standards of safety and quality of work
- Supervision of workshop staff - Including recruitment and training, managing schedules and ensuring adherence to workplace safety regulations
- Oversee the overall operations and logistics within the workshop. This includes scheduling facility usage, organising workflow, ensuring maintenance of equipment and monitoring consumable levels.
- Manage Team CAPEX & OPEX alongside Team Resourcing profile
Who you are:
- Experience in a Automotive / Motorsport Workshop Management position within in automotive/manufacturing industry
- Experience in Vehicle Development / Motorsport
- Engineering / Motor Vehicle / Motorsport Qualification or equivalent experience
- Engineering / Project Management Qualification (desirable)
- Experience in maintaining small vehicle fleets
- Eye for detail and a desire to deliver to a high standard
- Strong Leadership & Fosters a positive Team Culture
