About the role

Are you passionate about caring for the environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Conservation team as a Conservation Advisor working with your colleagues to ensure appropriate conservation activities take place. This includes management of risks such as tree safety and non-native species, providing a positive contribution to biodiversity.

You will be responsible for ensuring all conservation guidance is provided within the agreed timescales, seeking guidance specialist guidance where required. This ensures recommendations are accurate to maintain trust and confidence.

Within this role you will partner with stakeholders, ensuring deadlines are met. This means you will ensure existing and new conservation data in GIS is correct.

In addition, you will coordinate with partnerships created to undertake conservation activities across our land holdings.

You will work outdoors in all weathers, which means there may be occasions whereby you will be working alone.

About you

If you have excellence communication skills, we want to hear from you. The successful candidate will provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders, ensuring effective engagement.

You will have demonstrable experience of conservation practices including legislation and policies. In addition, you will have a technical knowledge of conservation and biodiversity.

You will enjoy developing your knowledge of NWL’s legal environmental obligations to ensure we remain compliant.

You will have an awareness of licensing processes for protected species to support the business.

A full UK driving licence is essential for the role.

This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
