Salary Information

We offer a competitive base salary, estimated to be around £30,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits including car allowance, payment of an annual professional membership, contributory pensions plan, health shield, and 34 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays).

Job Description

You will work closely with the Head of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) to help improve the company's environmental performance. Your role will include implementing and operating SHE management standards and processes, assisting the SHE team and multiple stakeholders, and supporting the development of continuous improvement practices.

Your Responsibilities

  • Implementing and operating SHE management standards and processes.
  • Working to assist the SHE team and multiple stakeholders and locations.
  • Assist with project and company reporting on Environmental / Sustainability performance.
  • Assist with BREEAM / CEEQUAL requirements on projects.
  • Support the development of continuous improvement practices including SHE alerts, communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Assist with the monitoring of the completion of corrective & preventative actions and the close-out of NCR's.
  • Support the Environmental Advisors regarding regulator queries and requests.
  • Support Environmental Advisor with permitting and consent requirements.
  • Develop Site Waste Management Plans and Construction Environmental Management Plans for Projects.
  • Assist with Environmental Auditing and environmental mitigation / protection on Farrans sites including management of issues such as noise, water management, ecology, carbon and waste management.
  • Assist with the preparation of post-audit reports and identify actions to project and company management teams.
  • Assist with Bid Submissions and written responses to ITTs and PPQs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of Environmental Management.
  • Passionate about environmental protection and conservation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of working on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
