At Dale Farm, core to our success is our people, and have a great opportunity for a key role within our Business Improvement team, based at our Head Office site in Belfast.

About the Role

As a Business Improvement Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying areas for, develop, and implement process improvements to meet business goals.

Reporting to the Director of Group IT, your key responsibilities within this role will include:

Working with the Data and IT teams to identify and manage process improvement. Building a process improvement strategy and ensuring a business compliance matrix is in place. Documenting business processes and procedures and developing a central storage repository for this. Ability to understand end to end processes and identify the important value added steps. Use Lean tools and techniques to identify business process inefficiencies, bottlenecks and sources of waste and defects. Liaising extensively with external or internal suppliers and customers. Working with production sites to identify areas for improvement, in line with the IT and Data strategy. Conducting root cause analysis when business problems arise and implementation of solutions. Recommending potential solutions and assessing them for business suitability, supporting internal stakeholders in preparing business cases when appropriate. Conducting gap analysis and optimising or redesigning process flows to ensure they meet business / project requirements. Providing key input to key system implementation decisions in line with the IT and data strategy. Acting as an independent “auditor” to measure current process performance and identify improvement metrics. Making recommendations for system improvements and system controls to prevent issues. Contributing to the rollout of the IT and Data strategy, to ensure operational usage of the systems, processes, and procedures. Remaining non-technical and support practical user requests and requirements.

About You

The Essential

The successful candidate should have a relevant 3rd level qualification or equivalent, along with a minimum of 2 years’ in a business improvement role.

The successful candidate will be highly logical, process-orientated, and outcomes-driven. You will focus on efficient process solutions and use an excel and systems-based approach to work.

Demonstrable teamwork skills are key, along with strong interpersonal and communication capabilities. We are looking for a candidate who has a proven record of being able to work effectively with key internal customers in driving forward business improvements, and who is both methodical and innovative in approach.

The Desirable

Experience using LEAN tools such as Six Sigma / DMAIC

Experience of ERP and Warehouse Management systems
