From September 2024, a teaching assistant is required to support a child with a Early Years Transition Funding.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Establish positive relationships with children
  • Have experience of supporting a child with SEND
  • Have experience of supporting children with speech and language needs, including augmented communication e.g. using Makaton or PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)
  • Be adaptable and responsive to children’s needs
  • Have knowledge of EYFS
  • Be an effective communicator
  • Be ambitious for every child
  • Have resilience and energy
  • Be an excellent team player

This is a temporary contract which will cease when this funding ends or when the child leaves the school.

This post is for 15 hours per week and the hours currently required are:

Monday 9.00am 12pm

Tuesday 9.00am 12pm

Wednesday 9.00am 12pm

Thursday 9.00am 12pm

Friday 9.00am 12pm
