Job Description

Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant - SEND Schools

Job Type: Temporary

Location: Bath and surrounding areas

About the Role:

We are seeking several graduates to work in SEND schools in and around Bath as Graduate Teaching Assistants. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students, making a positive impact on their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Foster a sense of belonging and motivation among students
  • Support classroom management and behaviour management strategies
  • Ensure a safe and respectful learning atmosphere

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Psychology, English, Mathematics, Science, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on student's lives
  • Patience, adaptability, and the ability to build rapport and trust with students
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
