Job summary

We are looking for people who are experts in engaging adults, families, and other agencies around substance misuse; experience of holding a case load and delivering evidence-based programmes is vital. The Enhanced Recovery Practitioner will support joint working with Partners to reduce health and familyinequalitiesby offering enhanced support that targets the local public health priorities but ultimately meets the needs of the service user. This role is workingin partnership with Childrens social care Blackpool.

This is a unique opportunity to join a supportive team who are passionate and committed to ensuring improved outcomes for the people who access our services by working within our statutory partners and leading the substance misuse element, utilising the expertise the post holder will have to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Main duties of the job

Holding a case load you will assess plan and co-ordinate a package of care and support that meet our values, and local public health priorities.

-Communicate with both written and verbal skills primarily with statutory partners.-Complete comprehensive assessments.-Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary teams.-Work in partnership with adults and parents ensuring needs are met.-Understanding of child development-Support the needs of vulnerable adults, children, their careers, and the communities in line within local priorities.-Safeguarding, Health and Safety including risk assessments and other legislative requirements will be custom and practice.-Support Horizon service with legislation and guidance associated with health and social care as directed by DSL.-Developing and maintaining effective working relationships and partnerships with other services and agencies.-Work within an appropriate community setting , MASH, MARAC, childrens centres and within service users homes.-Write court reports, child protection reports and making appropriate referrals to adult social care.-Develop and demonstrate an understanding of how aspects of inequality affect service users with Blackpool.-Delivering group work in specific subjects.-Demonstrate knowledge of group/ family dynamics-Deliver agreed KPIs and present within contract and team meetings where appropriate.

Job responsibilities

As part of a team under the direction of a Team Manager, you will work with increased risk adults and families requiring an enhanced package of support for Drugs and alcohol.

-Holding a case load you will assess plan and co-ordinate a package of care and support that meet our values, and local public health priorities.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent) (A*-C grades) -Level 3 qualification in a recognised and relevant area (Social Care, Health, Education, Childcare or Community)

Desirable

Desirable to hold a full UK driving license as the role will include working across Blackpool.

Experience

Essential

-A willingness to undertake further training. -Extensive experience of working with adults, children and families who have a variety of complex needs. -Experienced with delivering high level substance misuse interventions and support. -Extensive knowledge of the impact of benzodiazepines and cocaine -Working with outside agencies (CSC, Police, Health) -Understanding of how substance misuse impacts on parenting
