Digital Copywriter Lead

Role: Permanent – Hybrid (2 days per week office based and 3 days remote)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £32, to £35, + benefits package 

Overview:

As our Digital Copywriter Lead you’ll play a key role in implementing CIM’s updated brand tone of voice. You’ll be collaborating with the broader marketing team to create compelling and impactful content for diverse marketing programs. From campaign copy to SEO optimisation, your expertise will contribute to the development of engaging narratives that resonate with our target audience…truly a key position

What you’ll be doing: 

Develop and maintain the organisation’s tone of voice guidelines to ensure consistency across all communication channels. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to ensure alignment with key messages and brand. Write and edit copy for various websites, social media, email campaigns, advertisements, and other digital channels. Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in messaging. Monitor and analyse the performance of digital content to optimise for SEO, engagement, and conversion metrics. Provide guidance and training to internal teams on implementing and organisation’s tone of voice guidelines. Assume responsibility for ensuring all written communications consistently reflect the brand’s tone of voice. Contribute significantly to the establishment of a strong brand presence, reinforcing our identity and values across all communication channels. 

What we'd like: 

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field. Proven experience as a copywriter, with expertise in developing and implementing tone of voice guidelines.Strong portfolio of copywriting samples that demonstrate creativity, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a deep understanding of tone, style, and messaging. Knowledge of branding principles, storytelling techniques and audience segmentation. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and key stakeholders to achieve communications goalsCreative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Strong understanding of SEO principles and the ability to optimise copy for search engine performance. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively within a marketing team and effectively communicating ideas and concepts.Capacity to adapt writing style to different audiences, platforms, and marketing objectives.Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in grammar, punctuation, and overall quality of written content.
