The role will be responsible for ensuring the segment teams have clear understanding of the QFS standard requirements, appropriate training is developed and up to date, associates are equipped with the right tools to support compliance to the requirements. The role will govern and verify implementation of the requirements partnering with stakeholders and segments to ensure ongoing progress and drive a strong agenda of compliance. The role influences stakeholders globally within the segment, across segments and in the Global Corporate team to ensure delivery of the global quality strategy.
Education & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor degree or equivalent professional degree or equivalent experience Fluent in English with strong oral and written communication skills Lead auditor training – preferred HACCP and or Food Safety advanced – preferredKnowledge / Experience
Experience with R&D standardisation management processes, ideally not only at operations level but also a business management processes level. Experience working in R&D or interfacing with R&D processes. Proven ability to lead and execute an initiative or project to a successful outcome, with a high level of customer focus and adopting a continuous improvement mindset. Specific experience in knowledge management is an advantage Extensive experience working in an operational Q&FS or Business unit quality roles Strong knowledge and proven implementation of standards and quality management across organizational layers (. business units, manufacturing sites, market units, as well as their interaction and governance expectations Experience and knowledge of the Mars QFS standards and/or FSSC/ISO 22000 requirements. Strong communication skills, be able to craft concise messages and deliver technical trainingPreferred Requirements
Worked in different segments or divisions Proven record of leading the development standardize requirements Demonstrable record of successful project team leadership, ability to motivate and engage superior and peers Knowledge and experience as key user of digitalisation tools is an advantageWhat will be your key responsibilities?
Standardization Portfolio Management:
Maps and builds the landscape of Q&FS requirements in collaboration with relevant groups such as global innovation, Q&FS, SRA, cross segment and corporate subject matter experts. Program manage the stage-gate process for all developments and revisions of standards and procedures owned by the Segment Quality Program, escalating any risks and gaps to the FQLT. Owns the Mars Inc document development and deployment process for documents, as such is responsible to define the activities, roles & responsibilities, criteria, methodologies, document hierarchy, deployment timelines etc within the segment Responsible for defining budget and resource requirements for implementing standard requirements and providing business case to FQLT and TLT for approval Supports the CAB process by Identifying structural gaps in standards and work with site teams to develop a 3-year road map to compliance and T0 CAB budget requirements Supports R&D and QFS teams in the process for codification and management of the standards and procedures. Is the expert on standardisation, coach and equip standard owners with tools & templates to ensure they apply the established processes in their areas of responsibility and that the outputs (., standardised requirements) are fit to be integrated in the business. Is the expert in the standardisation digital tools and ensure these are always up to date on global requirements and supporting materials. Contribute to R&D system landscape strategy and provide input for prioritization or digital systems work Own the process of document control for all Quality Management and systems related documentsStandard ownership (Traceability, Food Fraud, PRIMP, Recall, Calm and Food Defense):
Specifically responsible for:Responsible for ensuring the standards, procedures and tools follow the D3 process.Ensuring the project charter is written and approved.Write new and review existing standards, procedures and tools for the Food segment in partnership with the segment food safety team. Ensuring the documents go through appropriate consultation. Collating the consultation feedback and making changes to the documents as necessary.Effectively deploying the documents to the stakeholders.Developing and delivering training on the documents.Setting compliance targets for the documents.Governing the documents, including:Tracking compliance, developing and defining compliance action plans, identifying and executing continuous improvement initiatives and driving standardization.Using the compliance data and plans and provide input into the CAB T0 plans.Being the first point of contact for site support.Collating feedback from the Food segment on cross-segment documents and representing the Food segment in cross-segment forums.Leading Compliance:
Lead continuous improvement by creating visibility on standard compliance levels and robust data analysis Assess the effectiveness of the requirements at some frequency to verify we are getting value and use the data to drive Improvement Defines the KPI’s and drives the standards compliance by measuring adherence to requirements and effectiveness of the process Sets the metrics passports for those KPI’s to ensure this are kept up to date in the respective digital platforms and ensure clear governanceWhat can you expect from Mars?
