 Teaching Assistant (1-1 Support for Special Educational Needs)

Location: Bolton

Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a specific student to support their educational and personal development. You will assist in creating a positive learning environment tailored to the student’s individual needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-1 support to a student with special educational needs, adapting teaching methods to suit their learning style.
  • Support the student in developing social and communication skills within the classroom and during activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers and special educational needs coordinators to ensure the student receives comprehensive support.
  • Assist with personal care tasks as needed, ensuring the student’s comfort and well-being.
  • Encourage and motivate the student to participate fully in school activities and foster a positive learning experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
