The position of Warehouse Operative involves:
Manually loading and unloading caged and palletised goods from lorries.Using the warehouse system & scanner to receive, locate goods into the racking, pick & dispatch whilst handling all caged goods with care and attention, working in a temperature chilled environment.Replenishing and consolidation of stock when required and assembling cages for orders to be safely stacked in racking.Assisting when required within the warehouse to include wrapping and labelling of pallets.General housekeeping and upkeep of the warehousing area and equipment.Completing any relevant paperwork in line with the warehouse processes to include reporting any defects.Essential skills required for Warehouse Operative:
Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment.Experience with computerised warehouse management systems, Manhattan scale is advantageous.Good communication and team working skills.Attention to detail is essential.Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.Basic numeracy and literacy skills.Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.Why Gregory Distribution?
