Pleasenote this is a shift-based role, during trainingshifts will be 8:30 am 5pm, following the training period this willchange to 2pm-10pm.


TheCompany:


Our client is amanufacturer of specialist chemicals including aromas andfragrances. They supply globally and now have a requirement for aQuality Control Technician to join their shift rota. This is aroutine quality control position in a fast-paced industrialsetting. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, the successfulcandidate will support the production team and will ensure allincoming and outgoing raw materials and fragrance batches aresubjected to the relevant quality control tests. The company offers25 days' holiday, pension, lifeassurance.


Salary:


28,000 following the 3 month training period.

Location:

This Shift QC Technician role is located near Northampton,commutable by road from surrounding areas including Kettering,Wellingborough, Corby, Rugby etc.

Shift QC TechnicianRole:

Your main duties will beto:
  • Perform quality control tests todetermine differences in quality.
  • Investigateand record non-conformances and reworking according tospecification.
  • Release raw materials, fragrancebatches and laboratory batches aftertesting.
  • Assist production with any queriesrelating to raw material or productionbatches.
  • Proactive re-testing of all batchesand materials due.
  • Problem solving and issue ofclear reworkinstructions.

YourBackground:

The ideal candidatefor this role will have the following skills andexperience:
  • Excellent sense of smelland a keen eye for detail being able to accurately record all data- essential.
  • The ability to work efficientlyand effectively under pressure, in a team and as an individual -essential.
  • Good problem-solving skills withgood time management - essential.
  • Able to offerflexibility required to cover shifts -essential.
  • Experience of performing qualitycontrol on aromas and fragrances would be anadvantage.
  • Ideally A Level qualified inScience.
