An exciting opportunity has arisen for a laboratory technician to join an expanding team who specialise in the in vitro assessment of oral care products. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine and non-routine analytical tasks.

This is an excellent entry level role and will suit someone interested in science and looking to start their career. The role will be based in Hooton (Wirral). The position is initially for a 6-month fixed term contract.

ABOUT YOU:

Academic background in science or previous experience in a laboratory role is beneficial, but not essential. Good IT literacy skills, especially in Word and Excel. Good time management skills, with a flexible approach to working. Ability to follow both oral and written instructions. Ability to work with others in a cooperative manner. Conscientious with good documentation skills. Driving license desired but not essential.

Key Activities:

Perform routine and non-routine analytical tasks as part of the in vitro assessment of oral care products. Use a variety of cutting and abrading equipment to prepare hard tissue samples. Maintain documentation to meet the requirements of our quality management system. Perform data entry and data checks in accordance with standard procedures. Maintain and calibrate equipment in accordance with standard procedures.
