We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytical Scientist to join a leading multinational organization specializing in the development of specialty chemicals. This role is based in Cheshire and offers a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry and possess substantial experience in method development. A comprehensive understanding of various analytical techniques such as GC-MS, LC-MS, NMR, wet chemistry, and ICP-MS is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing innovative analytical methods to address complex challenges in Research and Development (R&D).
  • Utilizing a range of analytical techniques including GC-(MS), LC-(MS), GPC, NMR, wet chemistry, thermal analysis, microscopy, and ICP-MS.
  • Supporting the validation of analytical methods and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Communicating findings effectively to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.
  • Analyzing and interpreting results from various analyses.
  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, and ensuring the proper functioning of analytical instruments.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior laboratory technicians.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.
  • Proven experience in developing analytical test methods across various techniques.
  • A broad understanding of analytical methodologies is crucial.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
