Global Financial Institutions (GFI) Researcher

At Citywire, our analysts and researchers are crucial to our success. They help us better classify, understand, and interact with our audience. This is a fantastic opportunity to dive deep into the investment industry.

As a GFI Researcher, you'll work with our two key databases: Audience and Fund Managers. Your responsibilities will include conducting analysis, performing research, and delivering vital information. You'll also play a significant role in various research projects, where your ideas and observations will be highly valued.

What you’ll be doing:

-Researching the world’s largest financial institutions on their global footprint and investment outlook.

-Managing a data and news product for global financial institutions.

-Working with Citywire’s global editorial team to increase coverage and audience of global financial institutions.

What we’re looking for:

-Previous experience in a Research/Analyst role at a similar level within the Finance sector. Other experience will also be considered.

-Good communication and presentation skills – you will be required to work with departments across the business and with stakeholders at all levels.

-Good Microsoft Excel skills are essential – exposure to pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, and similar formulas.

-Analytical mindset with the ability to research and find key pieces of information; continually asking questions of the data available to you.

-Ability to work with large datasets, spotting trends and similarities in the data.

-Organised and methodical, you’ll be able to manage changing objectives and multiple workflows.

-Knowledge of the Asset Management Industry would be advantageous.

-A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience, in Finance, Economics or similar, is desirable.
