We are currently looking

to recruit 3 part time switchboard operators on permanent contracts. one for 23 hours per week, one for 20 hours per week and one working only weekends of 12 hours per week.

The successful candidates will join a small friendly front line team in a busy hospital switchboard. You will need excellent communication, interpersonal skills and be calm in a emergency situation.

As the first point of contact within the telecommunications service at Weston General Hospital, operators are responsible for providing a efficient switchboard/information service 24/7 to all staff and customers at the trust. Carry out all aspects of the responsibilities of a operator in a pleasant, courteous and professional manner at all times. Operators will be required to use their own initiative efficiently and accurately when dealing with emergencies/life and death procedures and situations outside the parameters of these procedures
