Briefing

Shift position 4 on/4 off onsite(even for the night shift) 2 days 2 nights (6 am6 pm) Closeproximity with a vehicle Teams paired up with other sites always becovered Workload 40/50 tickets which the teams are working throughtriage to higher level Eligible for SC clearance. 1 year minimumexperience at a service desk with 10% shiftallowance.

JobDescription

Overall purposeof thejob:

  • Responsiblefor providing first level customer support to our large and diverseclient base ensuringService
    Levels are maintained theticketing system is fully up todate.

Keyresponsibilities for thisjob:

  • Investigateand resolve helpdesk incidents assigned to you with speedy fixesensuring the ticketing
    system isfullyupdated.
  • Monitornetworks and equipment using applicable software(SolarWinds//PRTG/RMM/FMCetc)
    raising incidents asappropriate investigating and resolving where possible or engagingthe correct
    resolving teams whileowning the incident toresolution.
  • Ensureall network alarms and events are acknowledged and appropriatelydealt with during your
    shift. Anyongoing issues are to be documented for shifthandover.
  • Ensurethe NOC Manager is kept informed of all service affecting incidentsand appropriate
    escalations aremade whererelevant.
  • Whereappropriate and as advised by your line manager provide DC smarthands services to
    support existingSmart Hands team. This could include cabling visual inspectionsproviding escorts
    and other dutieswithin the data centre asrequired.

Knowledge and experiencerequired:

  • Minimum 1 yearsexperience in a Service Desk/NOCenvironment
  • Experience in workingwith Cisco routers and switches minimum CCNAdesirable
  • Some experiencein troubleshooting and maintaining Firewalls and/or Security Eventmanagement
    desirable.
  • Mustobtain/retain SCclearance
