We are currently recruiting a Specifications Technologist to join the technical team at our large Hull bakery.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Specifications Technologist to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and updating product specifications using web-based retailer systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining the highest quality and safety standards for our products.

The role of Specifications Technologist at BBF

        Set up approval for external customer specifications or relevant technical information in accordance with customer requirements.

        Review copy artwork in line with updated customer technical and labelling policies, including all regulatory changes that will impact on the accuracy of the pack information and labelling.

        Procedures correctly documented to ensure that internal and customer compliance are met, following the relevant Process Development procedures.

        Reviewing raw material specification content to develop "Gold Standard" specifications for each raw material to improve compliance.

        Validation of specifications and processes to identify synergies and scope for consolidation through a continuous improvement process.
