Job Description

Maximum Working hours Available: 27 hours per week. Monday to Friday between 8.30am - 3pm 
Working pattern:  Term time plus Inset days only
Actual starting salary for 27 hours pw (calculated pro rata): £15,721 per annum
Salaries are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments

The Burgess Hill Academy are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Library and Literacy Support Assistant to join the team on a fixed term contract until December 2024. The Library and Literacy Support Assistant will be responsible for managing, developing and promoting the Academy Learning Resource Centre as an effective source for learning and a cross-curricular whole Academy resource. They will also teach literacy and reading skills across the Academy, including 1:1 and small group work, guided reading activities, managing the accelerated reader system and working as a Learning Support Assistant in some KS3 English lessons.
