Job summary

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy services are evolving andthe Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner service has an exciting opportunity tojoin the Trust and be at the forefront of expertclinical practice and the transformation of Musculoskeletal pathways acrossbeautiful Worcestershire.

We arefortunate to be able to offer two permanent positions to join the established APPservice providing specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy assessment andutilisation of advanced practice skills for management of patients with complexMSK presentations. The one post is full time and based at Bromsgrove and thesecond post is 30hours a week and will spend separate days at our bases inMalvern, Worcester city and Droitwich.

You canexpect, and support, personal and professional development through in-servicetraining program, with strong established linksbetween service partners in primary, secondary and tertiary care. Main duties of the job

The serviceprovides a single point of access for MSK and Orthopaedic referrals. You will provide specialist triage ofreferrals form GPs, FCPs and Physiotherapists into the single point of access.

You willcontribute to high quality, patient-centered care using evidence-basedknowledge and skill. You will be managing a highly complex clinical case load. Youwill provide advanced clinical assessment and utilise advanced clinicalpractice skills such as diagnostics, peripheral joint injections (injectionskills required), or specialist secondary care referral, to support managementof patients within the Worcestershire Musculoskeletal pathways.

You will beprovided with Specific Professional Activity time. You will lead on clinicaland service development of the APP service and musculoskeletal Physiotherapyteam. You will provide teaching and supervision of clinicians and students tohelp to shape the future workforce. You will complete audit and research withinthe service.
