• Chivas Brothers, the largest brand company in the Group, responsible for the production and management of our award-winning Scotch whisky portfolio
• Pernod Ricard UK , which markets , sells and distributes our products in the UK market
• Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail , the global and EMEA home of the group’s duty free, air travel and cruises business.
• The Absolut Group, the brand owner of our global white spirits portfolio, whose Gin brand unit and Business Acceleration team sit in London.

We are an organisation of 2,000 employees in the UK, headquartered in London, in a brand-new office designed with sustainability, ‘conviviality’ and collaboration in mind. We also have offices in Scotland and various distilleries and production sites across the UK from Plymouth to London to Speyside.

Your new team

This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600-strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future, as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe.

The scope of Operations stretches from Procurement through conversion (distillation and maturation) and manufacturing (or bottling) to all the downstream Supply Chain activities until the final product is delivered.  In addition, Operations play a very active role in Innovation, Talent Development and Operational Risk Management.

The Supplier Quality team provide comprehensive quality support to ensure quality control and compliance with regards to suppliers.  They are part of the wider Quality team within our Manufacturing function who support the business with Product Quality, Quality Systems and Improvement, Supplier Quality and Technical Training alongside Regulatory & Food Safety.

Your unique contribution

The Supplier Quality Leader will be implementing and auditing supplier quality control processes and leading supplier continuous quality and service improvement programs.

You will have four main areas of responsibility:

• Supplier Quality – to regularly visit supplier sites and audit suppliers and co-packer’s corrective actions following Manufacturing quality approval.  You will also implement, review and update the supplier process control plan (PCP) implementation, review, and update to agreed frequency.
• Supplier Performance Measurement – to develop and assess supplier rating measurements and monthly reports and benchmark supplier performance, to promote best practices between suppliers.  You will ensure stakeholder support and participation in developing measurements and targets and develop, maintain and agree supplier sign-off on.
• Supplier Innovation and Compliance – to ensure compliance and improvement action identification and audit.  You will identify supplier cost reductions and innovation opportunities through detailed supplier process knowledge and support supply chain risk and capability analysis, along with business continuity and contingency planning at suppliers.
• Internal Stakeholder Service and Communication – to gain internal stakeholder buy-in to supplier improvement and measurement processes and provide regular performance reports and industry updates to them. 

Who you’ll be working with

Internally , you will collaborate with the wider Quality team as well as other areas of Manufacturing, including Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain, Bottling, Engineering, Health and Safety and New Product Development as well as other functions such as Finance.

Externally , you will collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure delivery of services to the highest standard.

Your blend of talent

This position could be right for you if you:

• Have a HND or equivalent along with previous experience in Quality Management, preferably in supplier management in a manufacturing environment.
• Have quality audit experience and qualification.
• Have excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Have a full UK driving license and be able and willing to travel.
