Early Years Teaching Assistant

Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: South Shields
Salary: £83 - £130 per day
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are seeking compassionate and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistants to join our client schools in South Shields. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and supporting young children’s development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons.
  • Provide support to young children in their learning and development.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Support the implementation of early years’ curriculum and learning activities.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and the successful applicant must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
