Deputy Manger, London (Elephant Park)

Contract: Permanent, Full time


Duties


      Developing & maintaining documentation of curriculum & learning

      Monitoring and assisting in curriculum planning ensuring each service has in place the highest standard curricula in line with Tigers' ethos, ITERS, ECERS and any early years service regulatory requirements.

      To ensure high standards of care at the service

      Support staff in curriculum development & documenting the curriculum.

      Ensure Keyworker System is in place and records are kept accordingly.

      Ensure records of children are up to date.

      Ensure a good standard of hygiene within the service.

      Attend and arrange meetings (weekly team meetings, monthly managers meetings).

      Revise policies & procedures as required and liaise with head office with regard to same.

      Adhere to Child Protection Policy of the service and report any concerns.

      Prepare long term, medium term and short-term plans.

      Effectively market and promote the group to maximise occupancy levels and fee income.

      Manage a budget & maintain accounts where required.

      Maintain all records as required by OFSTED.

      Network with appropriate statutory and voluntary agencies.

      Ensure group is adequately insured and all safety equipment is maintained and regularly serviced i.e. fire equipment etc.

      To develop ongoing positive relationships with parents and encourage their involvement.

      To co-ordinate recruitment, induction, appraisal and training requirements for staff. 



Experience Required

      Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience working in an early years setting, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.

      Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of inclusive early childhood education and care

      Demonstrable and detailed knowledge of current legislation relevant to the early years.

      Understanding and experience of social inclusion and disability issues

      Ability to provide mentoring and coaching services

      Sound understanding of child development, and of children's needs.

      Ability to plan and implement a curriculum, taking into account the SEN Code of Practice, child protection procedures and equal opportunities' considerations.

      Proficient in MS packages e.g. Word, Excel, together with knowledge of G Suite.
