Are you a skilled and experienced MET Technician looking for an exciting opportunity in a rapidly growing company? Steer Automotive Group is dedicated to delivering top-quality automotive repair services, and due to ongoing business expansion, we are now looking for a talented MET Technician to join our team at our Darlington bodyshop.

About the Role:

As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers' vehicles are repaired to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:

Diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles. Dismantling vehicles for repair and reassembling them to pre-accident condition. Performing inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work. Ordering replacement parts as required and ensuring repairs meet manufacturer specifications. Collaborating with the team to ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales and complies with safety regulations.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Extensive MET experience , ideally from an accident repair background, working on a variety of vehicle types including electric and hybrid. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently under pressure. The ability to manage your workload to ensure vehicles are completed on time and to the highest standards. Excellent communication skills, working well both as part of a team and independently. Flexibility and a commitment to delivering high-quality work with customer satisfaction in mind. ATA/NVQ qualifications in automotive repair, with experience in electric and hybrid vehicle repair (support for renewing qualifications will be provided). A commitment to following Health & Safety guidelines , ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
