The newly formed EPR Team is excited to announce five fixed term or secondment opportunities to join the programme team as an EPR Change Lead.
We are committed to developing, investing in and deploying an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution for Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, and are looking for five enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our dynamic team and lead our EPR change management function.
To make implementation and adoption of our new EPR a success, it is vital that our staff are engaged and confident in the change that we are undertaking, and the role of the EPR Change Lead is key to this success.
The EPR Change Leads will be responsible for leading, planning, and co-ordinating change activities for their allocated Clinical Group areas over the implementation phase of the programme. This includes providing practical support to both the wider Implementation Team and clinical teams, and sharing functionality and anticipated configuration of the new EPR and how operational processes could align.
These roles are offered on a fixed term or secondment basis until 31st May 2025. We have a total of 1.6 WTE available, so please indiciate on your application your preferred contractual hours.

Main duties of the job
The postholders will be responsible for the delivery of the change process within their specific Clinical Group areas, working closely with the Change Managers, Benefits and Transformation Manager, Communications and Engagement Lead, and Workforce Change and Engagement Lead. There will be a responsibility to enable the development of change management skills across our workforce so that our supervisory and managerial staff better support their teams through these changes. This includes providing practical support to both the wider Implementation Team and clinical teams across the organisation and sharing functionality and anticipated configuration of the new EPR and how operational processes could align.

Working for our organisation
We provide care for the residents of three diverse London boroughs. Most of our 7,800 permanent staff live in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge and the majority are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups. We also provide healthcare services to people in south west Essex, and specialist neurosciences services to the whole of the county.
Our services include all the major specialties of large acute hospitals and we operate from two main sites - King George Hospital in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford. We have two of the busiest emergency departments in London – more than 300,000 people visited our A&Es in 2023. We also provide outpatient services at Brentwood Community Hospital, Barking Community Hospital, Loxford Polyclinic, and Harold Wood Polyclinic.
We’re pleased to be leading the way in wait to get the treatment they need. The Elective Surgical Hub at King George Hospital is one of eight to be ; the Care Quality Commission has raised the ratings for at Queen’s and King George hospitals; and showed that the Trust was the most improved in 2023 for reducing waits for emergency care.
We are particularly proud of our regional Neurosciences Centre; Radiotherapy Centre; Hyper Acute Stroke Unit; and dedicated breast care service at King George Hospital. We’re also part of the .

Essential criteria
Education to post-graduate degree level in Health Management or Change Management, or significant equivalent knowledge and experience

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills for a range of audiences, including stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and programme board High attention to detail, including production of strategy, policies and plans under time pressure
