**Job Purpose**

The purpose of the Senior QA Officer is to perform day to day tasks related to the Quality Assurance function to ensure the smooth release of products and activities are carried out according to cGMP and the site Quality Systems and to support and mentor small teams of QA Officers.

**Main Responsibilities & Duties**
- Ensure all activities across the site are carried out according to cGMP and the site Quality System across all functions, including contributing to both internal and external audit programmes
- Provide Quality oversight of production operations to constantly drive to deliver high standards of cGMP and general housekeeping
- Undertake batch review, prior to formal sentencing by QP, for both licensed and unlicensed products, operating within both company and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate non-conformances raised by the business, ensuring that non-conformances are reported and investigated with corrective actions (where applicable) are completed to agreed timescales
- Contributing to cross-functional projects and investigations as a QA SME, working within multidisciplinary teams as required by the business
- Leading and overseeing members of the QA departments and deputising for the QA Team Leader where necessary
- Provide metrics on individual sections and team performance
- To work with line management to investigate batch rejections and identify means to prevent a recurrence
- Looks for ways to minimise batch losses and participates positively in reviews to improve effectiveness and efficiency

**Additional Responsibilities**
- To undertake additional tasks required for which training has been provided
- To work within multidisciplinary teams as required by the business
- Supporting continuous improvement activities for the site
- Considers own development opportunities
- Maintain own training record
- Where GxP data is generated, ensure that the principles of Data Integrity are adhered to

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
