We transform lives by providing support, guidance and practical advice for the 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK, as well as their three million family members and carers. Autistic people turn to us at key moments or challenging times in their lives, be it getting a diagnosis, going to school or finding work. 

We change attitudes by improving public understanding of autism and the difficulties many autistic people face. We also work closely with businesses, local authorities and government to help them provide more autism-friendly spaces, deliver better services and improve laws.

The Individual Giving Manager and Direct Marketing team are responsible for managing and driving income through individual donation channels, including regular giving, cash appeals, lottery, payroll and membership. The funds we raise through these activities play a vital role in helping the National Autistic Society to achieve its mission: a society that works for autistic people. 

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced, organised and ambitious fundraiser to lead the Direct Marketing team.

 The role will involve leading a small but insightful and talented team of fundraisers in bringing in our target net income for 2024-25 and leading on the exciting strategy for growth in 2025-26. This includes (but is not limited to):-

Overseeing an ambitious growth plan in terms of annual IG income and donor numbers for 2025-26 and beyond Leading the team in delivering all income generating activity, inc. cash appeals, promotion of lottery and payroll giving Developing and improving supporter experience and donor retention across all channels Managing two Direct Marketing Officers Planning and delivering annual events such as Thanking Day and the AGM

The successful candidate will be experienced in direct marketing campaigns and individual giving principles and ways of working, and passionate about new developments and trends in these areas. We are also looking for a confident people manager, strategic thinker and an enthusiastic team player.

This role will be fulltime and permanent.
