We are seeking an individual who cares about a great student experience to manage our Student Voice and Surveys work at Birkbeck. You will lead on this area and work with colleagues across the College to run our student surveys and to gather and analyse the data gathered. This is an opportunity to develop our existing systems (we use Blue from Explorance) and to explore effective ways of supporting students to communicate about their experience within Birkbeck.

You will have strong IT skills and the ability to craft effective surveys to support our work. You will need to understand how to analyse quantitative data effectively and accurately and also how to manage data sensitivity. You will be able to translate your findings into well-written and concise reports for different audiences and you will be comfortable presenting your reports to others.

You will enjoy working across an organisation, providing ideas, advice and support whilst managing your workload independently and effectively. You will be sensitive to students from different backgrounds and in managing a feedback process so that all parties engaged feel it is productive and valuable. As part of this you will also support managing the College’s relationship with the Students’ Union.

You will join a supportive, kind and dedicated academic services and quality office in the College’s Registry Services, committed to helping Birkbeck’s staff and students offer and receive an excellent education. We will ensure that you have appropriate training in our software and support you in developing your skills.

Remuneration

Grade 7 of the College's London Pay Scale which is 42,348 rising to £48,424 per annum. Can we put discretionary points in the range – would like the wider range published if possible (£48,700) Just need to check this is the correct range for the new academic year, if you could confirm for me.

The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
