Our client is lookingfor a Build and Release Engineer to join their technical team. Youwill be a key contributor to the product developmentand engineering team serving as a liaison to theOpen Source Foundation as the softwaretransitions under the foundation. Your role will ensurecompliance with the Foundations softwaredevelopment processes and policies whileproviding timely and accuratecommunication to stakeholders.

Responsibilities include providing Open Source softwaredevelopment and deployment best practices ensuringcollaboration between the Engineering team the Foundation and thedevelopment partner. This involvesbuilding tools and libraries integrating multiple pipelinesand technologies and enabling engineeringteams to compile documentation quickly andreliably. You will also serve as astrategic liaison to the Foundation TAC (Technical AdvisoryCommittee).

Responsibilities:

  • Design build and maintain the core CI/CDtooling aligned with Open Sourceproject
  • working groups.
  • Streamline deployments across different GitHub branches and sandboxenvironments.
  • Improve existing build scriptsand experiment with new technologies.
  • Assiststakeholders in authoring new specifications and documentationstandards.
  • Serve as the main source ofknowledge for documentation toolchaintechnologies.
  • Guide the documentationarchitecture for the company and its Open Sourceprojects.

Requiredskills:

  • Bachelorsdegree in Computer Science or related field or equivalentexperience.
  • 5 years of complex Open Sourcesoftware development experience.
  • Experiencewith LaTeX Asciidoc and Markdown.
  • Experiencedocumenting software specifications orstandards.
  • Ability to write integrate andmaintain pipelines for CI/CD.
  • Ability todesign and implement modular and easily extensiblesolutions.
  • Strong understanding of softwareengineering methodologies.
  • Ability to presentcomplex technical information clearly andconcisely.
  • Strong written and verbalcommunication skills.

Preferred skills:

  • Experience working with The Linux Foundationis a plus.
  • Availability to work some hours inthe US time zone is a strongplus.
