Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Release Management Specialist to join our team at European Tech Recruit. As a Staff Release Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the release engineering and branch management for production firmware releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Release Engineering: Oversee the entire release process, including branch management and all aspects of software version control.
  • Release Planning: Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop comprehensive release plans.
  • Release Notes: Create detailed release notes and ensure clear communication with internal and external collaborators.
  • Continuous Integration: Develop continuous integration (CI) pipelines to streamline downstream firmware release processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality system software releases through demonstrated expertise in release management and automation.

Requirements

  • Release Management Experience: Proven experience in release management and automation for high-quality system software.
  • Software Build Processes: Experience in software build processes and build management, covering both release candidates and formal downstream software releases.
  • Quality Assurance: Knowledge of quality assurance (QA) for platform software on server platforms.
  • Defect Management: Experience in defect triaging and defect management for system software releases.
  • Open-Source Projects: Familiarity with open-source projects such as Linux Kernel, TF-A, EDK II, and OpenBMC.
  • Team Management: Experience in managing a diverse team.
  • Yocto SDK: Practical experience with Yocto SDK.
