Release & Deployment Engineer

Capita Technology and Software Solutions (TSS) is seeking a skilled Release & Deployment Management Engineer to join our global shared service team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the development and management of our Release Management lifecycle service.

This home-based position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, coordinating and managing releases across multiple software and hardware vendors. You will collaborate with internal and external teams to implement automation throughout the Release Management Service Lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal/external teams and vendors to implement automation across the Release Management Service Lifecycle.
    • Work with shared services teams in implementing Release Management tools/procedures.
    • Assist in designing, building, and accepting release packages.
    • Collaborate with the automation team to test new deployments.
    • Support the maintenance of the Lifecycle Manager database.
    • Create change records and package release records.
    • Ensure CMDB is updated with release updates.
    • Provide support in Configuration Management.
    • Develop and provide management reports on release progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Release Management tools and processes.
  • Hands-on experience with deployment and automation tools.
  • Strong technical knowledge of network technologies and operating systems.
  • Excellent understanding of Service Management principles.
