Release Manager Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Release Manager to oversee the release management lifecycle for one of our Global Investment Banking Clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Capital Market domain and experience in managing releases across the enterprise for multiple applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate the release of project deliverables and release-related activities
  • Lead and coordinate Go-Live activities, including deployment plans and checklists
  • Collaborate with project management, software development, quality assurance, operations, and other departments to ensure successful product delivery
  • Implement and manage release processes for code through development, test, and production environments
  • Negotiate, plan, and manage all release activities
  • Continuously improve the release process
  • Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no-go reviews
  • Produce deployment run books and implementation plans
  • Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
  • Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
  • Additional qualification in Finance or Release Management is desirable
  • 9+ years of overall experience in Information Technology, with 5+ years in Release and Change Management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in team handling and coordination
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Industry certifications in PMP, ITIL, Agile Methodology are strongly preferred
