Chief Marketing Officer

Are you a visionary marketing leader with a passion for media and data? Metamorphic Search has partnered with a London based media business to recruit for a Chief Marketing Officer who can help to drive the growth of the business. If you have a proven track record of success in the media industry and a deep understanding of data and market trends, we want to hear from you.

Our client is a PE backed media business with ambitious plans to grow organically and inorganically over the coming years, reaching scale at pace.

Role Overview:

As the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be a key member of the executive team - reporting in to the CEO - developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that enhance visibility across the brands, drive sales growth, and strengthen customer loyalty. Initially this will be a standalone role but in time you will be responsible for hiring and leading a team of marketing professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build out a marketing offering from scratch.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of marketing, including brand management, traditional marketing, media, PR, and advertising.
  • Drive product launches and promotional campaigns to maximize market impact.
  • Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
  • Foster partnerships industry stakeholders.
  • Manage marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the marketing team to achieve excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the media industry.
  • Strong understanding of the media industry, ideally those areas which have a heavy use of an reliance on data, including emerging trends.
  • Proven track record of successful brand building and revenue growth.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
