What you will do

As a Strategic Buyer you are primarily responsible for the EMEA market and you control the entire tactical/strategic purchasing process from RFQ, negotiation to contracting and implementation, with an eye for quality in relation to price and total cost of ownership. You are experienced in the field of purchasing various products in a very wide working area (Security products, Fire detection, and Fire suppression). You have wide market knowledge in various procurement areas and you ensure a good market analysis.

How you will do it

Selection of suppliers. Negotiate with the most suitable suppliers about the purchasing, Legal and logistical conditions. Where applicable, you do this together in a team with key stakeholders for the relevant product groups.

Project purchasing or new product developments in collaboration with various departments, such as Product Management and Category Management (European or world wide).

Continuous monitoring of possibilities to achieve cost reductions, efficiency improvements, improved payment terms, but also detecting potential risks is part of your tasks.

Making spend analyses, benchmarking studies and conducting market research.

Supervising or coordinate purchasing processes and supplier selection processes (RFI/RFQ/RFP).

Challenge both suppliers and the organization to arrive at the most optimal solution for the supply and/or development of parts and end products.

You play an important role in the growth and development of the department and the company. Together with the other team members you help to achieve our common goals, in particular those focusing on customer satisfaction, supply base improvements and cost reduction.

Manage Supplier relationships

What we look for:

Experience in strategic sourcing, preferably in technology or wholesale activities

Familiar with MS Office, experienced in Excel

Analytical minded

Strong and commercial negotiator

Focus on details and quality

Proactive, well-organized, independent, dynamic and a team player

Excellent communications skills both orally and in writing

Knowledge of German is an advantage but not mandatory
